4th Quarter 2018
"Making Space For Everyone"

Big Updates with the Close of Another Great Year!

Along with the ACORN product line receiving a considerable update, the OAI team has expanded into a new facility! In the final quarter of 2018, we have welcomed new employees and continue our search for more engineers to support upcoming programs! Read below for more.

ACORN Gets an Upgrade

In October, OAI delivered three (3) ACORN-R units to a customer to facilitate mission design, payload interface testing, and support constellation trades and analysis. Through this effort OAI has expanded ACORN capabilities to support constellations and multiple vehicle modeling and simulation capabilities.

“We have expanded our capability to marry disparate messaging systems,” said ACORN Tech Lead, Mike Charrier. “This creates a wider ability to integrate differently configured satellites, which can then perform as a single constellation.”

This delivery and associated upgrades lay the foundation for improved capabilities and modules in the ACORN platform.

Move-in Day! OAI Begins Operations at New Headquarters

We have officially moved in to our new location in Highlands Ranch! The new facility approximately doubles our working space, allowing for the growth of our company and product line simultaneously. Most importantly, the new and improved laboratory and cleanroom facilities ensure OAI will continue to provide our partners and customers with the highest level of service.

OAI looks forward to hosting an open house for partners and key stakeholders.

STEM education and outreach is very important to us at OAI, because we believe it is important to invest in developing the necessary skills of our society's youth in order to maintain a healthy aerospace workforce in Colorado. We hope that for many years to come, our home state continues to play a large role in contributing to STEM education. To aid in this effort, we have worked with the Colorado Space Business Roundtable and Wayne Carley of STEM Magazine to help put together the Colorado Aerospace STEM Magazine. This FREE e-magazine is a pertinent resource for all CO students, teachers, and parents interested in STEM.
